Theodore Roosevelt, our nation’s 26th president, a union busting cowboy and hero of the beloved cinema classic, The Newsies, made a visit to Milwaukee on October 14th, 1912 that he never forgot.

Not because of our dope bars or our pleasant nature, no. It’s because he was shot in chest and then delivered one of the most badass lines that any presidential candidate has ever said.

Tune in this Friday to find out exactly what he said (it definitely doesn’t exist on the internet so don’t even try), and how a little piece of Milwaukee stayed with him for the rest of his life…lodged in his ribcage.
